Boom Beach HQ25 and Warships Season 28 Almost Ready For 4ER!

Yes, I am one of the slowest type of players around. But as they say, slow and steady wins the game. And this is in reference to making progress mostly in regards to Warships. Both accounts are now on the border of progressing into 4ER but I am waiting just a little bit to farm up keys before hitting it on my main account.

Brief update on the normal HQ25 progress. I had plenty of resources on my secondary account from yesterday. So I finally started to open Trader Tickets which I luckily popped a few nice buckets of Iron which was enough to allow me to get another max level Landing Craft. That brings my total on my secondary account to four, which is half way there. On the other hand, I’m going more defensive for my main account and probably will just wait until this coming week to do another upgrade. I cannot see myself opening Trader Tickets just yet since I’m pretty far from anything meaningful resource wise.

Warships Season 28 is really a back-and-forth situation. I know there are people doing Heavy Rush or Zooka split attacks that have pushed far ahead. But I really believe that those attacks require you to have Instant Training. I’ve seen many attacks that can take down my bases using either tactic but most sacrifice a great number of troops, which means the player probably has Instant Training setup. I firmly believe that Instant Training is just a waste of money and that you don’t get a lot of value for $10/month. If it was $2-3 maybe. But $10 is just another stupid subscription service where I don’t think the money is well spent in improving this game over at Supercell.

That said, generally I would say I can beat an opponent with my Tank-Critter Cannon + Dr Kavan strategy about 1:3. So it’s not great but I don’t take many losses and can full take down 3ER unless I get a terrible layout with front loaded Boom Cannons in which case it’s not fun and I have to eat the loss and troop losses.

Nonetheless, I have done well enough for myself where I can manage and get enough wins to rank up. I do believe that 4ER is going to be pretty painful, which is why I’m saving up to at least grab the Troop Health node before progressing on my main account. I’ll probably grab the Shock Blaster thereafter since Mechs forces me to pause. But getting Mechs does allow me to save more upgrade tokens for what I’m really aiming for in 4ER: Barrage. Now, Barrage might be the tough spot since I’ve seen players take down bases with GBE. But we’ll see how that goes. Later I might backtrack to grab the 3ER GBE node as well.

Now, I will say that something I did slightly different on my secondary account was to pick up Mortars. I realize that their damage is bad but the theory here is to max them out to get 4 more defensive buildings and use them to take out Critters and Zookas that wander by. They’ll do absolutely nothing against tanks and heavies but they will serve as a distraction still. So it’s going to be a lot of keys to save up before I can progress my secondary account into 4ER. But I really wanted to see what difference the Mortars can make once I get the 4th one and have them all maxed out.
