Today, started a very mixed result. On my main account, I managed to scrounge up enough resources to start my 3rd max level Rocket Launcher. I used some of my Trader Tickets and my resource boat to make that work. Unfortunately, I do think tomorrow’s Hammerman’s Strikes Back will be tougher even though I have at my disposal 4 Prototype Defenses.
On the other hand, I do think I should be able to get my last max level Rocket Launcher by the end of this week for my main account. Part of me thinks I should have gone after the Landing Craft because I’m so behind. However, it won’t give me as much value for a while so it’s not an issue. After getting my Rocket Launcher upgraded, I do plan to hit my Shock Launchers. Those will be significantly easier to upgrade and hopefully annoy my opponents a lot more.
My main account is working on its 5th max level Landing Craft. I only did that because it became available the other day. Otherwise, I probably would have stuck with a Rocket Launcher. In either case, I don’t mind splitting up the upgrades like this just because it varies things up. Also, I managed to find a Building Blueprint. If this was my main account, I would have used it on my newly acquired Rocket Launcher just to get it ready for tomorrow. But I think I’ll save this Blueprint for the next Mega Crab.
With regards to Warships, my main account has gone into 4ER. Let me say, 4ER is beastly. I grabbed the Troop Health node going in as well and am grinding keys to pick up Mechs. Not happy about the positioning but I understand. Also, I grabbed the Shock Blaster. Not sure how effective it’ll be but I like to annoy opponents. The goal now is to rush towards the GBE node next to the Mechs and dump all my points into it. Then grab the Barrage node. I have a sneaky feeling my base is going to get hammered a good portion of the time by people with Barrage.
On the other hand, doing 4ER with Tanks and Critter Cannons is great since my de-ranking probably will be a lot less than 3ER and I only will need to grind 2 battles per chest. Also, most bases will be forced to spread their defenses out even more. So as long as people aren’t beaching things like Boom Cannons, I should be fine.
My secondary account is starting to suffer in 3ER though. I am close to unlocking both 4ER and the Troop Health node. Depending on how 4ER turns out, I might do a lot of backtracking for defenses. I still haven’t picked up Rocket Launchers on this account and don’t think they’ll help at this stage. GBE might be more useful in 4ER especially once Barrage becomes available. So I’ll probably go for both. Possibly on this account, I’ll stick with 4ER longer since my main account is ahead and more experimental. On the other hand, this account has Heavies at 4 ticks so it might be worth rushing towards Heavy Choppas. But I don’t want to go too fast and miss out or make another huge mistake.
The one node that’s bothering me (besides Mechs because they’re absolutely inescapable) is Incinerator tanks. There’s a path where you can go for Building Damage instead of them. But you’ll lose out on Troop Damage. This is going to play a huge part once I unlock Heavy Choppas since my Heavies will be hitting like a wet noodle compared to the rest of my troops. Also, I’m finding that my tanks are having a harder time taking down Boom Cannons. So it might be worth picking up that node whether you like or not just to get the Troop Damage.
Anyway, can’t wait for a few more upgrades today.
